Indian Mine Managers’ Association (IMMA) is professional body functioning at National level in India. IMMA was created with active support of stalwarts of mining industry in 1923 to safeguard the interests of Mine Managers. Over the years, it has contributed immensely for the cause of Mining Engineers in general and Mine Managers in particular.

With its national Headquarters at Dhanbad, IMMA has a broad base of nine branches spread over the country. IMMA is working closely with mining industry, Government, DGMS, CIMEFR, Academia and students to further the cause of professional Managers engaged in mines. IMMA is represented in several national forums. Some of them are:

  • National Safety Conference (Ministry of Labour and Employment)
  • Standing Committee on Safety in Coal Mines (Ministry of Coal)
  • Coal India Safety Board
  • National Dust Prevention Committee etc.
